Sacred Biohacking

During the fresh new start of 2023, many of us are searching for ways to enhance our work flows, health regimens, and mental states. But it may already feel like you are being bogged down and falling off the discipline train. I personally have been thinking more and more about the practice of my daily rituals. The rhythms and flows throughout my day or week that are cyclical and repetitive are the ones that change my life little by little. 

Sacred Biohacking

Within my own personal ritual practices, I practice what I call sacred biohacking. Biohacking is becoming a more popular term, and many people are finding ways to improve their health and quality of life simply through food, movement, hormone balancing, and lifestyle changes. It’s a way to not rely on supplemental health practices or medicine—pushing the reset button on your body in a way!

Sacred Biohacking is similar in a way, but it focuses on your spirit—your heart or your soul. It focuses on protecting and “hacking” the energy around us, so we protect and attract our own positive energy, and reduce the negative vibrations we absorb. 

There are certain things we encounter day to day that can either deplete us or nourish us, and knowing what those are and how to control them helps us vibrate at a higher frequency. Think of it as protecting your energy field! If there are cracks or things you aren’t limiting or controlling, it can drain you! 

Here are some of my favorite practices and rituals to help fuel up my body with energy and absorb all the good I can into it!

SUNLIGHT!

Watch the sunrise and sunset every day (at least 5 minutes)! The sun is a major energy source and as we soak up its rays, it improves our vitamin levels, helps us recharge, and can help improve our circadian rhythm!

EARTHING!

Get outside every single day, and put your bare feet on the earth! This practice absorbs the negative ions and electrons, detoxes the body and reduces inflammation! The magnetism of the earth is greatest at sunrise and sunset, so you can do your earthing while you soak in your sunlight! This can also help with the practice of simply being present and grounded! 

Today I am writing this musings post outside (see picture).  Some days I work in the woods at a secret picnic table in the woods (thank you Babson!). No matter the weather let Mama Gaia nourish you, you don’t need to do it all alone, let the earth hold you.

WATER

Ocean swims, salt baths (with a great filter), or drinking clean structured water help you to gain the benefits of water (and I don’t just mean hydration)! Water also has a psychological cleansing effect on us, helps us to feel refreshed, channels the frequency of flow, and relieves stress and inflammation!  I’ve been using the sacred waters of Avalon as the first layer of my paintings for our newest Love Lillett line!  Soon I’ll be working with Solaris during my time on the Nile to activate the full crystalline state and flowing it into my next body of artwork!  We will all be learning and unlocking new water codes this year.

FOOD

If food is our body’s fuel, it better be good fuel, right? High vibrational foods in season provide electrons. Food contains light codes from our latitude (foods outside our latitude confuse the body)! Make sure to eat breakfast to start your day well and get your body fueled up! Trust what makes your body feel alive!  For me that is what is naturally growing in-season where I live.  

SLEEP

Take care of your body and soul by protecting your circadian rhythm! When it’s in balance (consistent bedtime, no electronics, cool temp, no food close to bed), you sleep better which helps ease anxiety, calm stress, regulate hormones, and ultimately allows you to recharge properly.
